Hangeng’s Lawyer’s Latest Statement Regarding Lawsuit

I. Masks
In the early time of SuperJunior's debut(around year-end of 2005 and beginning of 2006),Han had to perform with a mask on his face and could only appear in few TV station because of some kinds of reasons. This has shown an obvious discrimination and insult on Han,which also made severe psychology shadow on him. There are problems in relatived laws of South Korea, and also in management of SM Co,.Ltd. Compared with the fact that Han haven't to wear masks some time later we could draw the conclusion that SM Co,.Ltd hadn't handle the issue suitably and ignored Han's interest and rights.

II. Discriminatory
The concert of SuperJunior Show on 22th Nov, 2008 in ShangHai,Han's family member were arranged in the far corner wittingly or unwittingly, while the Korean members' family is arranged in the centre of auditorium. The arrangement was changed until Han's family were seated and found out the discriminatory and end up with seated in centre unditorium after contending with SM Co,.Ltd.

III. Discriminatory on Financial Proportion
Korean members in SuperJunior share all the expenses in China(including private living goods) with Company and other members. While Han Geng could only pay his personal fees by himself unfairly.

IV. Discriminatory Chinese Actors in Daily Life
Every Korean members could go back home in their free time in Korea, while Han was asked to stay in apartment with other members in China. The company reluctantly accepted the asking of tenement an apartment near the site of company through consults.

V. Insecurity of Reward Distributee
SM Co,.Ltd settle Han's accounts biannually with only general ledger but not detailed accounts. The unclear accounts deprived Han's right of informed and speak that Han couldn't get enough security on his originally poor payment.SM never offered detailed receipts neither for scripts nor copy, and refused to provide under several times of demanding.

SM offered only Korean Won to Han Geng which needs two times of agiotage to turn to Chinese Yuan. The lost between the agiotage brings up more loss to the unfair reward.Although SM doesn't have formal subsidiary company, they still have respectable RMB cash flow.Han Geng has suggested changing the settlement method in order to minimise losses but all be refused without a resonable explanation.SM ignored Han's benefit and never explained or resolved this issue.

VI. SM Co,.Ltd. often procrastinate even refuse many developement opportunities of Han Geng which infrigement his rights a lot.
Here are the evidences:

1. In the year of 2009,Procter&Gamble Company decided to employ a man actor to endorse for OLAY products for the first time.SM Co,.Ltd. refused the cooperation for many reasons while Han Geng knew nothing about the whole thing through an informed staff until end of 2009.
2. June 2009,the Taiwan actress Yichen Lin called for a hero in her Music Vedio.Han is the designated hero by Lin's company but SM Co,.Ltd refused the request out of boosting Li Donghae and Choi Siwon, two Korean actors.Lin's company finally determined the two Korean actors play roles in Lin's MV which limited Han Geng's developement.
3. At the end of 2008, the movie Mulan started to choose an actor for the Men's Second Role. The producer favorited Han Geng and communicated with SM Co,.Ltd. for many times, but SM put all the invitations off. This not only limited Han's personal development, but is also contrary to thier promises on giving acting opportunities to Han.

Regarding all the facts above, from my viewpoint,Firstly,SM Co,.Ltd. offered little opportunities to Han Geng(2 single Endorsement,1 TV series from debut)compared with his popularity and importance. What's more,SM created many resistances when servicers discuss cooperations with Han Geng, which is discrimination in fact.
Secondly,SM cracked down Han's development when facing many good chances but not support him,for fear of the form of Han's personnal developing room and resources. This violates Han's legitimate interests and restrict his personnal development terribly.

Finally, freedom on economic activity is the basic human rights which nobody could attempt or indeed deprive or restrict. The series action of SM Co,.Ltd tend to and had indeed deepened Han's attachment to the Company and restricted Han's freedom of economic activities. The action is severe infringement on Han Geng's individual fundamental rights.

VII. SM ill-mannerd Han's potential customers and friends, and had had framed person introduce businesses to Han Geng.
Take me myself for example.Around March or April in 2009,I introduced a performing business called Night of Changbai to Han Geng.SM Co,.Ltd quoted a higher price to me(take ¥350,000 yuan for example)and quoted a lower price to the sponsor ( ¥300,000 yuan for example),which made the sponsor mistake me for accepting rebates and hurted my own fame.I called Mr.Kim the broker of SM to interrogate the reason to do so,only get a reply like "we won't do that next time" without a solution. Many show sponsors, media and cooperators feels strongly dislike on the attitudes and the ways the SM staffs have.

Sandara Park "Why don't they contact me?"

[03.26.10] Sandara Park 12 Part 'Star Diary' Part 11

The season that makes all girls hearts flutter has arrived. Lately the spring wind has been blowing gently, and Sandara Park's heart has been fluttering too. "Snow White, Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty in the woods, all get a prince charming on a white horse, why don't I have one~"

27 year old Sandara Park dreams of love. With sparkling eyes, Sandara Park said she really wanted to experience love. We became curious as to what kind of Prince Charming she was dreaming of. "Um.. Wonbin-sshi and Kang Dongwon-sshi? (Haha) It's sad that these days Wonbin-sshi doesn't do many activities. He was really cool in the drama Ggokji. My ideal type of guy is a tough younger guy and Wonbin gave exactly that kind of image in Ggokji."

Sandara Park who is still lost in her dreams revealed that the truth is she was a fool at love too. Moreover, she said she had trouble speaking in front of guys. "I don't have much aegyo and I can't speak well to guys. When guys speak even one or two words to me, I respond really awkwardly. When the other members see this, they warn me 'Until you change your personality, you won't be able to get a boyfriend'.

'Foolish Dara' has had one experience in dating. She had a boyfriend for one year but the relationship faded between them. After this, she remained single for a long time. She freely expressed her impatient heart. "If you become close to me, I'll be really bright towards you all the time. I'm the 'outgoing one' amongst 2NE1. It's a bit tough to become close to me, but if you do, I'll be 'outgoing' Sandara."

Although Sandara Park said that she wasn't very popular, she has captured the hearts of many men in Korea. Many male celebrities have stated that Sandara Park is their ideal types on shows too.

"It seems like there are a couple of guys who have said I'm their ideal types. I saw those shows too. But for some reason they don't contact me? I've even asked myself 'Why don't they contact me?'. I don't think I'm very popular. Even those close to me don't show me interest, although I'm always with my managers. It's a shame."

Even Yang Hyunsuk's representatives changed their contract agreements for the sake of 'Foolish Dara'. But Sandara Park has only been disappointed. "Yang Hyunsuk's representatives shortened our contract that said we couldn't date for 5 years to 3 years. But it still doesn't seem like it's good enough. In 3 years I'll be in my 30s. Of course work is important too. I can work hard while being in love too." When Sandara Park was young, she dreamed of getting married at 22. She wanted to wear a wedding dress when she was pretty and at the peak of her youth.

"I really don't want to do it past 30. However because of my contract, it seems like I'll have to. I'm sad. I don't even have a chance to meet anyone."

ABS-CBN soap operas charm non-Filipinos worldwide

In a recent interview with Ms.Reena de Guzman Garingan, head of International Sales and Distribution (ISD) of ABS-CBN Global, we found out that there are also non-Filipinos worldwide who have been captivated by the Kapamilya network’s teleseryes. These are not necessarily subscribers of The Filipino Channel (TFC).

Formerly head of the sales department of The Manila Hotel for many years, Ms. Garingan said they decided to hold a press conference for the first time to share with the entertainment press the success that ABS-CBN Global ISD has achieved in 15 years. Also in the luncheon meeting with the press were Jeff Domingo who was one of the pioneers in putting up ABS-CBN Global 15 years ago and who now runs its, and Bong Osorio, head of ABS-CBN Corporate Communications who said “we are here to celebrate the success of ABS-CBN shows here and abroad…and to let you know that aside from catering to the Filipinos worldwide, ABS-CBN has also penetrated non-Filipino audiences all over the world…”

When they put up TFC, their purpose was to target the Filipino overseas workers. They did not expect that they would also be catering to non-Filipino audiences, Jeff said.

“It’s about time we have to tell you what we have done in the last 15 years in selling our shows abroad,” Reena said. She just came from a speaking engagement in Africa (she discussed the social and ethical responsibilities of media professionals in the forum attended by leading journalists and broadcasters in that country), where ABS-CBN teleseryes will be shown, not only once a day, but “on a multiple timeslot, not only in Africa but also in other countries,” she proudly shared.

“Hindi lang pala mga Filipino ang kinikilig sa love story nila Jericho Rosales at Kristine Hermosa in ‘Pangako Sa ‘Yo,’ at naiiyak sa paghihiwalay nila Piolo Pascual at Angel Locsin sa teleserye nila, but also non-Filipinos. Nakakatuwa lang,” Reena added.

Before she can offer their shows to any country, Reena said she had to read about that country’s culture, tradition and customs. “This helps a lot for me to understand if they decline my offer. You have to know why they can’t take your product.” But so far they’re not finding it hard to sell their products. In fact, sometimes the teleserye hasn’t even end here but already some countries are offering to buy it, Reena said. Most of the time it’s the story they are interested in and not so much with the stars. “With non-Filipino audiences, hindi nila kilala ang mga artista by their real names, but by their characters in the teleserye,” she said.

Although “Pangako Sa ‘Yo” is known to be the most successful ABS-CBN telerserye abroad, it was actually “Mula sa Puso” which set the trend, but too bad the male star, Rico Yan, met an untimely demise “at wala na kaming maibigay na follow-up shows niya,” Reena lamented.

Just recently, “Pangako Sa ‘Yo” (known abroad as “The Promise”) aired on China’s national television and rated second over all local and foreign programs airing in that country. Ten years after Filipinos fell in love with the Kristine Hermosa-Jericho Rosales tandem, the now classic teleserye still has appealed to the Chinese audience and even hit the Top 30 list in the national weekly ranking, covering over 2,000 channels and capturing 1.3 billion viewers.

But before China, the love story of Angelo Buenavista and Yna Macaspac have appealed and mesmerized audiences in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Cambodia and Africa. As Cambodian Nai Hiu Mei recounts “the teleserye, broadcasted here with Khmer dubbing, was so popular that many Cambodian babies were named Angelo. On the other hand, Times of Zambia writer Meluse Kapatamoyo wrote “the series has become a topic of discussion among families, friends and even neighbors who daily ponder on how the show would end.”

Rene Lotter of One Africa Television has even said “when is ‘Pangako Sa ‘Yo’ coming back? I wish I could get a dollar each time I get that question. From teenager to grandma, from household organizers to tax consultants – it’s gripped people across all genders.”

Another ABS-CBN teleserye, “Ikaw ang Lahat sa Akin” (a.k.a. “Only You”) was aired on primetime alongside “Pangako Sa ‘Yo” in mainland China, carried by the biggest state television broadcaster. Meanwhile, “Sana Maulit Muli” (a.k.a. “Chances”), “Maging Sino Ka Man” (a.k.a. “More Than Love”) and “Gulong ng Palad” (a.k.a. “Stand for Love”) are expected to be aired in the Republic soon.

Also earning recognition internationally is the Angel Locsin-Piolo Pascual starrer “Lobo” (a.k.a. “She-Wolf: The Last Sentinel”). In the recently concluded 2009 International Emmy Awards, “She-Wolf” was recognized for the stellar performance of Angel Locsin who received a nomination for Best Performance by an Actress. This recognition is the second for the show which won the Best Telenovela Award at the 30th BANFF World Television Festival in Toronto, Canada last year. Currently, the show is enjoying wide viewership in Brunei and is expected to be released to other countries in Indo-China, Asia, Europe and Africa this year.

By the way, Reena said ABS-CBN shows are subtitled and dubbed in several languages including English, Turkish, Khmer, Mandarin and French. One of the programs dubbed in French is “Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay” (a.k.a. “La Longue Attente” in French and “The Long Wait” in English) which will cater to French-speaking viewers in Africa and Europe.

Reena stressed that “ABS-CBN programs sell well because they resonate to the African audience. “Our writers, directors and actors are able to capture real-life experiences on screen. Our stories show pain and suffering but in the end, give viewers a glimpse of hope. As we demonstrate that obstacles and fear may be overcome, we help mend the broken African spirit.”

ISD which she heads, has been the premier source of top quality programs from the Philippines, making ABS-CBN the first and biggest Philippine content distributor in North America, Europe, Australia and Asia-Pacific and the leading Asian distributor in Africa. Through ISD, Kapamilya shows have become so popular among non-Filipinos that ABS-CBN is now regarded as a market mover and thought leader in the field of broadcasting in Africa.

Indeed, ABS-CBN has made its mark in the global market. Through the efforts of the ISD group, homegrown Pinoy entertainment has been given a chance to shine on the global stage.

Derek Ramsay and Angelica Panganiban's LOVE

These lovebirds were on the Most Wanted Celebrity Couples of the past year, and hopefully - this year as well. They seem to have really fallen head over heels inlove with each other.

"Every relationship has problems and we have our share of problems. We're not a perfect relationship that everyone should pattern or follow... But the thing that we do is we find ways to solve the problems that we encountered and that's what we are doing now..." says Derek. "Each time we go on separate ways, we end up coming back. I can say nothing can stop us from growing. "

When asked if girlfriend Angelica verbally abuses him since she's known to be very honest and frank:
"She never raises her voice at me, she never yells or screams, umiiyak lang (she just cries). We're helping each other out, we're learning new things."

Ohhh... that's the LOVE that we're all looking for!
