Ha Ji Won and Hyun Bin's confessions

As star-crossed lovers ‘Kim Ju Won’ and ‘Gil Ra-Im’, actors Hyun Bin and Ha Ji Won kept viewers on the edge of their seats during the 10-week run of their wildly popular drama, “Secret Garden.”

But did you ever wonder what scene made Hyun Bin feel warm inside? Or what Ha Ji Won’s favorite pet name is? Since their last episode aired almost two weeks ago, the stars have come forward with some of their own on-set “Secrets.”

In a recent interview with tvN’s “On-Set Talk Show Taxi,” Hyun Bin confessed that the show’s infamous ’sit-up kiss’ scene had more than just his abs burning. “To be perfectly honest, [the scene] made me feel a little weird and tingly inside.”

When the reporter asked if he was actually any good at doing sit-ups in real life, the actor shook his head and laughed. “Since I’m not a fan of sit-ups, I actually had a lot of NGs. I felt like I had to do hundreds of them.”

On the flipside, his “amazing woman” and co-star, Ha Ji Won also had a few confessions of her own. In an interview with “Star Today”, she confessed that she loves being called “이 아~메이징한 여자야’예요” ["You amazing woman"] – a name that she often hears lately from her Japanese fans. The nickname first came about when Hyun Bin’s character expressed his affection for her.

Ha Ji Won even confessed that she was a little envious of her own character: “In the last episode, the couple have sons, but Ju-Won still only has eyes for his wife. Though it may be a girlish dream, I’m still hoping for that great love who will love me as his first priority.”

Although the show has ended, it seems as though the stars, their characters and the unforgettable ride that they took us on, will be one great “Secret” that we will surely want to keep.

Heechul speaks out towards a netizen

Super Junior
’s Heechul set out to clarify the rumors regarding SM Entertainment’s ’slave contract’ during his interview for the February edition of “GQ.”

He revealed, “Of course, I, too, have many problems with my company. But I don’t think that it’s necessary to reveal all of them to the public. Honestly speaking, ‘we don’t make money?’ That is not true. Lately, everyone keeps talking about slave contacts this, slave contracts that, but what’s really funny is, what kind of slave goes out and buys his parents a building? What kind of slave drives a car? What kind of slave goes out for drinks?

Heechul previously revealed that he and his fellow Super Junior members re-signed with SM Entertainment on the January 18th episode of MBC’s “Radio Star“. His bandmate, Siwon, asked the media not to “call us slaves, and to never use the term because it makes us feel like slaves.”

After expressing his thoughts against rumors surrounding SM Entertainment’s slave contracts, he left a series of impassioned tweets to defend his stance.

Reportedly, Heechul became very upset by a tweet from an anti, which read:

RT @1226****** Stop acting out, did you toss your respect into the Han River?? Or did you sell it at the market? You’re a slave, who do you think you are bi******? Ah… Since you’re a slave, did your master order you to act out too? If you shut up, at least no one will notice, don’t you think?

Heechul re-tweeted the message, and then wrote the following on January 24th:

Whether it’s studying or what-have-you, you should be spending your time worrying about the country, society, or the economy. In the time you have to read replies, read newspaper editorials, instead you… What’s the point in knowing how to read if you can’t even understand it? Without end, all of your arguments are just illogical.. At least if you sit still, you won’t be noticed. Woof woof~

The public probably doesn’t even care about me or you. You can’t even be sure that they’ll read this post either. If they think I’m funny, then they think I’m funny.. If I’m not, then I’m not. Don’t go running around acting as if you’re a representative of the public.

In the time you’re spending in bringing down others, have you ever thought of being filial towards your parents? Instead of lighting fires in your eyes, turn on the lamp in your room and think about your future. I suppose I’m childish for arguing with the people who are taking a dump on me… All of you, if you’re going to take a dump on something, go do it in your own bathrooms.

And all of you dogs who run around with eyes red in search of something to rip apart. It’s obvious you guys are lacking something, which is why you run around like crazy fools, exaggerating every little thing… Realize that just because you are part of the public does not mean you are embody the society as a whole.

To be thankful that I can be filial towards my parents, and to have something I can call ‘mine’ so early on… Do I look like a slave? People that have vast experiences living as a member of society will never think of me as a slave. I’m not sure whether or not they will see, but I would like to thank the public ^-^

I would like to ask the public: Do I seem like a slave? Do I not look free? Before I became a celebrity, like many others, I worked part-time for a company.. I experienced a bit of society, which is why I’m thankful for my life right now as I live on.”

Jerry Yan spills the beans on relationship with Lin Chi-Ling

The actor gets emotional as he talks about his past relationship with the Taiwanese top model Lin for the first time, showing a softer side of himself that day.

On Dec 20 last year, Jerry attended the recording of Hunan TV's Happy Camp. He grew quiet when he saw the video clip of Lin Chi-ling tearing when talking about him. The host asked if he would embrace love bravely. Jerry, who had admitted to being rather childish, replied he "didn't know".

After the programme was aired on Jan 1, netizens left messages like "It's a different him, a more emotional Jerry Yan" on microblogging site Weibo.

Chi-ling and Jerry appeared as guests on Happy Camp consecutively. In October last year, Chi-ling cried on the show. The model was touched by a paragraph regarding her in Jerry's book 9314 Man and Boy. She also talked about her relationship with Jerry for the first time.

"I am a simple girl after all. I longed for love, and I longed to be loved. I'm different now, I'll embrace love," said Chi-ling, who seemed to treasure this past relationship.

When Jerry saw the video clip, he became quiet. When asked if he would embrace love courageously, he choked and said, "I am very childish at times, I want to be loved and cared for. However, for a girl, she would feel insecure. I still need to grow up."

The actor expressed that he talked about Chi-ling in his book because she is really a good girl.

"When she told the public that I'm the only person in the world who treats her best, I know I have to become a better man. I let her go, because I really loved her; I know she would meet a better person," said Jerry.

He added he was childish in the past. He would love and care for a girl in his own ways, but did not consider if the other party liked it or not. After Jerry showed this softer side on television, fans praised him for "being different".

On the programme, Jerry was tested on how he would spend a monthly income of RMB$10,000 (approximately S$2,000). The actor revealed that apart from his handphone bills, he did not have any expenses. Jerry explained that his colleagues usually organise his schedules, and thus he did not have any expenses. That would leave at least RMB$8,000 for him to splurge on his girlfriend.

"I like buying things for my girlfriend. If the things I buy for her fills her room, she would be reminded of me each time she returns home," said Jerry.
