Reaching another milestone in her career is Philippines' soul siren Nina, who performed with other Asian stars at the recently concluded Pattaya International Music Festival held in Thailand.
According to Nina, the experience was quite a thrill given the kind of reception she got from the audeince and the treatment she was accorded by the festival organizers. Nina was the only Filipino invited to perform in the three-day event.
"Sobrang sarap ng experience,” said she in an interview with abscbnnews.com.
Other artists who joined the festivities included Singapore’s Derrick Hoh, Japan’s Golf-Mike, Ice-Saranyu, Chin-Chinnawut and Hanuman Bang, Malaysia’s Will Ng, Vietnam’s PAK, Laos’ Tik Princess and Indonesia’s Super Kidz. Korean popstar Ji-Hoon, known internationally as Rain, also attended the festival.
Nina waxed ecstatic for having hobnobbed with the Asian stars. “Ang dami ko ring nakilalang artist," said she in the same interview, explaining how she was able to bond with them as they toured the kingdom. “Hindi ka malulungkot kasi sama-sama kayo to explore Thailand."
But what Nina enjoyed most was performing with them on the same stage. "Sarap ng feeling to share the same stage where [artists like] Rain performed, and a lot of artists na sobrang sikat din sa kanilang countries like Laos, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia.”
Nina sang three songs in the event, including her big hit "Someday." For her participation in the festival, Nina received the “Golden key to the City of Pattaya."
