Hero Angeles still bitter over Sandara Park?

Just read this news today and after reading the whole article from ABS-CBN I just went, “Oh dear, someone still holds a grudge”. Personally, as a teenager at that time, I was also rooting for this couple to really date off-screen. I guess some things, and people, are truly not meant to be. I’ll be sharing with you the translated article I found from DKPOPNEWS. Read and behold, folks.
>>
His slow decline from stardom started when his former on-screen partner Sandara Park returned to her native Korea to start her own career, former actor Hero Angeles said. Even during their more celebrated times as a love team, constant quarrels plagued their relationship off-cam, forcing them to put on affection for their throngs of fans back then. Hero, in an interview on Showbiz Inside Report, recounted his thriving career in show business, a world he was catapulted into by way of emerging champion in reality search Star Circle Quest in 2003. Sandara, his fellow "questor", was a constant attachment to his name, which Angeles said, eventually proved detrimental to the health of his career.
It didn't help that they had constantly argued despite their sweet image on camera. He said "She was like, weird; like she was a cartoon character. Her culture--their culture--was different. The things she was into were different, but she had people whom she gelled with. We were amiable then, but we fought a lot. I don't know, but it seemed she was always pissed at me."
Their quarreling eventually led to a confrontation where Sandara admitted disliking him. Despite this, he decided to keep showing their supporters that they are still in good terms. He said "I talked to her one time; there were even people who witnessed it. She was staring blankly at the table. I approached her and asked, "What's your problem?" She just looked at me and said, "I don't like you." I said, "Why? Did I do something wrong?" She didn't respond. I needed, I said, I needed to show our fans that we were okay, because I don't want to get mad at her."  he added.
Two films and one TV series later, things took a turn for the worse when Sandara decided to return to Korea, her native country, to pursue a similar career path. Goodbye, Sandara. Her sudden departure to Korea, he said, was the beginning of his career's downward spiral, as almost all of his project had him attached with his on-screen partner.
Hero continued, "It started when Sandara left. I was angry at her, so much. We were about to shoot a movie, which was supposed to be like her farewell movie. There were so many projects lined up like commercials and stuff, then suddenly she left in a snap."
Hero sought to salvage his solo career with ABS-CBN, but the alleged mishandling of his showbiz engagements by his brother and manager Henry only served to aggravate the situation. In 2008, he formally transferred to GMA where he starred in a number of television series. His last major TV project was in 2009.
Asked if he intends to make a showbiz comeback, Angeles said he intends to become an actor again should opportunities arise. He said "If a door opens, I would enter it. I would knock on it, but it depends on the door."
Since returning to Korea, Sandara on the other hand, has enjoyed immense popularity and success as part of performing girl group 2NE1.

Ji Hyun Woo's love confession to Yoo In Na

I knew it. He just couldn’t hide it any longer. Korean darama series Queen In-Hyun’s Man recently ended, but the love story of both lead actors Ji Hyun Woo and Yoo In Na is just starting to blossom. Fans got a shock of their lives when Hyun Woo unexpectedly confessed his true feelings during a fan meet. The actor bravely said, “I want to confess sincerely in front of you all who loved our drama. I really like Yoo In Na.”

I felt that I have to be honest. When the drama began, the director helped me find a cheerful heart to be able to shoot it well, and I really did become happy and cheerful. In episode 14, there was a scene about confessing to her. I couldn’t get all the emotions in place so we took a break. All of a sudden, she came up and put headphones on me. At that time, it felt as if time stopped,” he shared, revealing the moment when he realized his true feelings for her.

The stunned actress was at a loss for words for a moment before she said , “I’m shocked. I think we need to seriously talk about this later.

Representatives at the scene said, “His confession was truly not forewarned so everybody there was astonished.
An official of Ji Hyun Woo’s management agency said, “It’s not planned. We’re also surprised.Because of the confession, the cake cutting ceremony and other planned activities were all cancelled. Meawhile, Yoo In Na’s management agency YG Entertainment released a brief response regarding the matter. “It’s a private matter. Because love confessions between a man and a woman happen normally, we decided not to release a statement on the matter.

However, it seems as though Hyun Woo’s love story will end so soon. His agency informed the media that he will be enlisting in the army in July. The representative continued, “Ji Hyun Woo received a draft notice while filming ‘Queen Inhyun’s Man’. Although he could have announced his enlistment earlier, Ji Hyun Woo wanted to be fully committed to the drama filming, which is why we have now made this announcement.

Oh my, we can only hope for the best for both of them. I have rooted for these two for so long to cry a bucket of tears now. Let's all see what happens next.

Melissa Ricks is dating again

A year after her tumultuous break-up with Jake Cuenca, Melissa Ricks now happily admits she is in a new relationship with former Pinoy Big Brother housemate, Paul Jake Castillo.
She revealed the matter in a recent interview with PEP.

Yes, we’re dating!” the 22-year-old confirmed. She shared she is glad to have found new love in the arms of Castillo, whom she describes as caring and very understanding. “It’s about time that I also become happy because everything’s back to normal,” she said. The actress also related how their three-month-old love story began. “ Actually, I've known him for so long. It’s just recently that we got really close. And then it happened."

Asked why she is more vocal now about her relationship with Castillo compared to the time when she was still with Cuenca, Melissa admitted it was the latter who barred her from letting the world know about their romance. “ He didn’t want to [Cuenca]. But Paul Jake is okay with the idea of revealing our relationship. I’m also fine with it since it’s my personal life. They’ll find out anyways," she said.

Melissa believes her relationship now with Castillo is much better than what she’s had with CuencaEverything seemed very complicated before. There were a lot of things that shouldn’t be said and seen. But now with Paul Jake, it’s better. Peaceful.” she related.

She cited how Castillo makes her happy. “He’s so understanding. If I don’t have any schedules for the day, he just goes to my house. We make time for each other.

More, she is quite happy that her family approves of Castillo as her boyfriend. But she insisted that her parents didn’t have anything to do with the end of her almost two-year relationship with Cuenca. “My family had nothing to do with it. It was fine, they accepted him. Though they were a little cautious, they surely weren’t the reason of our break up..

Melissa further admitted that she already met Castillo’s family. “They’re really nice. Very kind and hospitable,” she said. Asked pointblank if she thinks Castillo is a much better boyfriend than Cuenca, she gave a straightforward response: "Much better, of course.”

Vanness Wu engaged?

Vanness Wu and his girlfriend Arissa are rumored to have gotten engaged just last month.  Appledaily reported that the couple kept a low profile and only invited their parents to dinner.

33 year-old Vanness and 29 year-old Arissa first met 5 years ago when she filmed his My Kingdom MV back in 2006.  They started to date but broke up after a year.  Then they got back together in April 2010, but reportedly broke up again 5 months later because Vanness “vowed to abstain from sex before marriage” as a devoted Christian. However, they were together again early last year and Arissa was spotted going to his place and spending the night there in July.  They were also seen at the airport leaving for a trip in January of this year. Their relationship has been very stable ever since, although Van Ness has generally avoided talking about his girlfriend in front of the media.

Arissa reportedly told her friends that she was engaged last month.  However, Vanness’s manager, Katie, denied, “I don’t think so.  He’s very busy filming a drama right now, so he has no time at all.

The media reminded her that getting engaged doesn’t take as much time as getting married.  Katie replied, “He takes both engagement and marriage very seriously.  Friends around him would definitely have been advised about it, but I didn’t hear anything from him.”

Vanness clarified that he did not get engaged last month.  He only took two days off to go to Korea to promote his drama.  He responded through his manager, "If we're considered engaged just because our parents had dinner together, then maybe I'm the parent.  They often have dinners together.  If I really get engaged, it would definitely be well planned out.  It wouldn't be this casual."
