Rania's agency responds to Joy's absence

For a while now, fans have noticed the absence of RaNia‘s Joy. With many inquiring about her missing presence, the group’s agency has decided to formally speak up about the issue. Having beat out 3,000 others in Thailand to become a member of RaNia, Joy debuted with the group last year in April. However, starting around November of last year with the group’s promotions for Pop Pop Pop, she has been missing in action. Her name is also missing from the group’s member list on portal sites.

RaNia’s agency revealed, “Due to the major flood that occurred at the time in Thailand, Joy’s family has experienced much suffering with their house submerging and some of the family members getting injured. Joy is currently with her family in Thailand and will not be able to participate in the upcoming promotion.” Thus, the new album, which is reported to have already been completed, was recorded without Joy.

However, fans should not fear for the agency has clarified that Joy’s withdraw from the group is not an official one. “She has revealed her intentions of participating in the overseas promotions that she is able to attend. After the flood recovery and her family once again finds peace and safety, we will be discussing her return to the team,” the agency commented.
